What's a Zine?A Zine, or also often ‘Fanzine’ (short from >Magazine<) refers to a collection of different kinds of contents about a set topic, theme or similar. This can be different shows, songs, actors, books or any other mediums. It usually features artworks and fanfictions, though some projects also feature recipes, cosplayers, poems or all other kinds of creations!What are the specifications for this zine?This Zine has a focus on the more creepy and spooky aspects and vibes of the Show “Gravity Falls” created by Alex Hirsch in a journal/scrapbook-styled project reminiscent of the recently released ‘Book of Bill’ also published by Alex Hirsch.We hope to showcase the cast of the show in various canon and canon-divergent scenarios following the more creepy themes of the show. This can be via exploring existing creatures or new additions as long as they make sense in-universe (Which is a lot)Ideally we wish to feature numerous artists and writers to contribute to the project.The Project is set to be a free digital release, however a final definition is to be determined by the Interest Check.Will ships be accepted?As of now our project is intended as non-ship focused and general. This means we will not feature any explicit shipping content, but we are open to allowing subtle depictions or hinting of ships as background elements.
(Ex. a scenario where two characters are holding hands without it being the focus)The Ship Mabel x Dipper / Dipper x Mabel is not allowed, as well as any romantic hinting of adults x minors or any other incest-stemming ships.What will be the main method of communication?Communication and organisation for this project will be over Discord only. This means a Discord account is mandatory.Will contributors be compensated?As of now there will be no monetary compensation. This may change depending on the outcome and preferences of the InterestCheck. Contributors will receive the zine (both physical and digital, if the IC results on a physical copy being distributed) and merch for free.How many contributors will be accepted?This will be determined by the InterestCheck.Do I need any previous experience to apply?Nope :) ! Everyone is very welcome to apply! Zine experience is not necessary and doesn’t get any bonus-points or benefits in the application period!Can I apply for more than one position?You’re free to apply to however many positions you want to, but please know that you’ll be accepted for a maximum of 1 - 2 roles to keep workloads light!What happens if i miss a deadline?If an extension has been requested and approved by one of the mods - nothing! We understand that real life can get in the way, it happens to the moderator team too! However we expect a timely communication if there are any delays ahead of time, or to at least let us know what’s going on generally.If a Deadline is missed without any communication about it even after 1 week and multiple contact-attempts by the mod-team, a warning will be issued. If this happens a second time, you will be removed from the project.
